Crispy Tofu Sisig is a healthier alternative to the traditional Filipino dish Pork Sisig because it does not use any meat or greasy ingredients. Cooked with an aromatic blend of onions, peppers, and chiles, this hearty recipe is undoubtedly a delicious way to enjoy the bold flavors of sisig in vegan form.

Ingredients
14 oz firm tofu, pressed and cubed
1 ½ cup cooking oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 long green pepper, sliced
3 pieces of medium red chili, sliced
1 small vegetable broth cube (or bouillon cube)
½ cup cornstarch
1 tablespoon soy sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Start by pressing the firm tofu using your TOFUDEE Tofu Press for 15 to 20 mins to remove excess water and moisture.
Heat oil in a cooking pot.
Once the oil gets hot, deep-fry the cubed tofu until it turns crispy. Set aside.
Saute and combine onion, long green pepper, and vegetable broth (or bouillon cube) into the pan. Stir until all ingredients are well blended.
Add the crispy fried tofu. Stir-fry for 1 to 2 minutes.
Add soy sauce, salt, and pepper to taste.
Transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with red chili and long green pepper.
Serve with a dipping sauce composed of soy sauce, calamansi, and crushed chili. (optional)
